Accessibility

I want this site to work for everyone looking for a home in Pasadena and South Pasadena, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, screen magnification or voice control.

What I am aiming for

The target is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA. This site is not formally certified against that standard, but it is built and checked against it.

What has been done

• Text and background colors are checked to meet the WCAG AA contrast minimum of 4.5:1 for body text.
• The site can be operated with a keyboard alone, including the mobile navigation menu, which can be closed with the Escape key.
• The navigation toggle exposes its state to assistive technology, and interactive controls are at least 44 by 44 pixels on touch screens.
• Animation is disabled for visitors whose system is set to "reduce motion".
• Headings follow a logical order, and the image on the home page has descriptive alternative text.
• Text reflows without horizontal scrolling down to a 320 pixel viewport width.

Known gaps

Being honest about the current state:

• The property search and home valuation tools linked from this site are operated by Landon Realty Group on their own platform. I do not control their accessibility.
• Scheduling is handled by Calendly on their site, under their own accessibility support.
• This site has not yet been audited by an independent accessibility specialist or tested with every screen reader and browser combination.
